Hello students, I would like to welcome you to American History. I am looking forward to working with all of you
and having all of you as students. The following is a brief overview as to what you can expect to cover in class this
year. I plan on starting at the very beginning of our great nation's history with Columbus's discovery of the New World
in 1492 and progressing to present day events. How much time I spend covering different periods of time will vary due
to time limitations, but if I notice you or your classmates displaying overwhelming interest in a particuliar
period or event I will be more than happy to ammend my lesson plan and spend more time discussing the subject matter with
you. This website much like your textbook is tool of the classroom and I encourage everyone to utilize it. I
plan on making this class as exciting as possible and in return I expect all of my students to give me their best
effort. Here's to an excellent school year and I will see all of you in class.

Attention Students:
I just wanted to remind everyone that next Tuesday we will begin discussing World War II. I expect
all of you to look over Chapter 8 in the text which covers the material and I will give a more in depth lecture in class.
Also on Wednesday two veterans of WWII will be coming into the classroom to speak about their individual experiences.
I expect everyone will be polite and courteous to our guests. Have a happy and safe Memorial weekend!
